5 Ways To Change Your Thinking And Change Your Life

Balance your life through changes in your thinking. You often do things without thinking about what you are doing because they seem to come automatically. This is true of being optimistic or pessimistic. Habits are developed without seeming thinking about them. These 5 ways will bring some change to your life.

1. Make a point of stopping and think about what you are thinking. Are you thinking? Are your thoughts pleasant or unpleasant? You will realize that how you spend your days is the way you spend your life. Many people wake up thinking about being happy all day and others wake up thinking about what will go wrong. If you notice that your thoughts are critical and destructive, you will need to evaluate them and see how they can be changed to be constructive and positive. The book "Think and Grow Rich" is a perfect example of what thinking can produce. Do not use the phrase "I did not think".

2. Refuse to take negative words from friends and family. Negative thoughts and words need to be passed on to others and these become a habit. Develop positive thoughts and use positive words whenever possible to begin the habit of being positive on a regular basis. Some negative thoughts may come from watching news or seeing negative movies and they can be replaced by changing what you watch. You will realize that the caliber of your life will change if you decide to change what you view and as a result what you think about.

3. Determine who you want to spend time with. Many people make a habit of being negative in thought, word and action. These are people to avoid whenever possible. If you find that your neighbour or relative enjoy talking negatively about other people, you make want to speak to them and ask that they refrain from doing so. You may also try telling a positive story each time that the friend or relative tells a negative one and this will influence both of your lifestyles. It is just as easy to think about good things and follow the thoughts up with action as it is about bad things. You can easily set examples for youth by the type of thinking that you do and encourage them to follow.

4.Do something positive every day. Whether it is helping someone or just going for a walk. Think about the happiness that you will see on the face of a child, a senior or someone who is shut in and is glad to have a visit from anyone. Take someone to breakfast when it is not expected or invite them to go shopping with you, even if it is window shopping. Just the thought will be a welcomed surprise.

5. Think healthy thoughts and use to provide better meals to your family. It does not matter whether there two or five members in the family, you will enjoy the meals more when some serious thoughts are used to plan, prepare and serve the meals. Think about the colour of the fruits and vegetables and how it flows to the brain. Children like to see interesting meals with lots of different colours and textures.

Visualize the changes necessary to improve your life and add balance; then set aside some time each day and meditate on them.
